• The touristic sector has been envolved in a two phase evolution, the first between 1960 and 1995 and the second from 1995 and which is still in process. Between 1960 and 1995 the touristic activity has progressed at a steady rate of growth of 3% - 7% per annum.
• Some advantages: its proximity to Europe, natural diversity, legendary hospitality, centenary cultural inheritance, recognized worldwide gastronomy and mild climate
• Mountain tourism hunting, fishing, horse riding, skiing, golf, tennis, 4x4 in the desert, parachuting, sea sports,… is a small list of the numerous activities Morocco offers.
• Daily sunshine averages over eight hours a day with an average temperature of 21º similar to Spain's Costa del Sol
• Foreign exchange import is free. The Dirham is the moroccan currency (1GBP = ~16.49 Dirhams).
• Blue plan: Construction and adaptation of touristic resorts mainly on the coast. The Moroccan government focused objective is to achieve in excess of 10 million tourists per annum by the year 2010
